Soccer tournaments generate more awards per weekend than almost any other youth sport. Six age brackets, first through third in each, all-tournament teams, MVPs, sportsmanship, and a participation medal for every player on every roster. The order can run into the hundreds before the first whistle. This guide covers the award formats that work for … Read more
Sales teams are the most recognized function in most companies and the one where recognition is most often done badly. A single top-producer award rewards one person and demotivates the rest. A slate that recognizes growth, activity, and team contribution alongside revenue reaches the whole floor and keeps the second-quartile reps pushing. This guide covers … Read more
Leadership awards are the ones organizations get wrong most often, because “leadership” covers everything from a CEO’s tenure to a sophomore’s role as team captain. The award that fits one does not fit the other. This guide breaks leadership recognition into categories that actually mean something, suggests award names for each, and pairs them with … Read more
A golf tournament hands out more awards per player than almost any other event. Overall champion, flight winners, longest drive, closest to the pin, low net, low gross, best-dressed foursome. That gap is why service awards land so well when they are done properly. This guide covers customer service award ideas across metric-based and behavior-based … Read more
Graduation is the one ceremony where every student is being recognized for the same thing, which makes the individual awards harder to get right. The valedictorian award writes itself. The award for the student who showed up every day, tutored half the class, and never made the honor roll does not. This guide covers graduation … Read more
A high school awards ceremony has to recognize varsity athletes, honor roll students, band members, student leaders, and graduating seniors in the same hour, and medals are the format that makes that possible. They are inexpensive enough to give in quantity, they engrave with the student’s name and the award, and a category-specific design tells … Read more
Corporate gifting used to mean a fruit basket and a logo pen. It now means a curated, personalized item that lands with a client or an employee as something they keep, which is harder to get right and easier to get wrong. The company you order from determines most of the outcome: whether the engraving … Read more
You have an object and you want words on it. A watch for a retirement, a plaque for a coach, a flask for a groomsman, a cutting board for a wedding. The question of where to get something engraved has a longer answer than it used to, because there are now four or five kinds … Read more
Engraving pricing confuses people because it does not follow the logic they expect. The machine runs for thirty seconds and the bill is fifteen dollars. Or the machine runs for ten minutes and the bill is the same fifteen dollars. The reason is that engraving cost is driven by setup, material, and artwork preparation far … Read more
